Ira Warshauer to lead University of Houston System Office of Real Estate Services

 

Dear Colleagues:

I'm pleased to announce that Ira Warshauer has been appointed Executive Director, University of Houston System Office of Real Estate Services, effective Nov. 1.

A senior-level real estate and facility management professional with significant experience across multiple sectors and industries, he brings depth of knowledge and expertise to the role with responsibility for staffing and operations of the Office of Real Estate Services with System-wide accountability.

A University of Houston alumnus, he joins his alma mater from Marathon Petroleum Company, where he served as senior real estate representative in Texas City, coordinating industrial real property assets for both Marathon and Speedway operations.

Within the energy sector, he has expansive real estate transactional and project management expertise across North America for Direct Energy, Schlumberger, Weatherford, Cornell Companies and BJ Services Company, encompassing strategic real estate acquisition, dispositions, leasing and facilities planning, among other assignments.

In addition to a Bachelor of Science in economics from the University of Houston, he has earned a Master of Science in real estate and construction management from the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver, and is a Certified Commercial Investment Member, Certified International Property Specialist, Certified Facility Manager and Real Property Administrator, as well as a licensed real estate broker.
