Applications Open for 2019-2020 Meal Plan, Textbook Scholarships

Houston, Jan. 17, 2019 - Applications for the Barnes & Noble Textbook Scholarship and the UH Dining Meal Plan Scholarship for the 2019-2020 school year are now being accepted.

Meal Plan scholarship recipients will receive a 24/7 Gold Meal Plan with unlimited entry into the two dining commons, $300 Cougar Cash to be spent at any UH retail dining location on campus, 10 guest day passes and one meal exchange per day for the fall and spring semesters.

The Barnes & Noble Scholarship includes $500 per semester to use toward textbooks at the UH Bookstore.

Each scholarship has its own eligibility requirements, with funds to be applied toward expenses incurred during the 2019-2020 school year. Eligible applicants must also be part of the Academic Excellence Scholars with an SAT score ranging from 1200 to 1290 or an ACT score from 25 to 28, or be on the dean's list with a 3.5 GPA or higher, or part of the Transfer Excellence Scholars with 3.0 GPA or higher. Both scholarships are available to on-campus residents and commuter students.

Students who wish to apply for these scholarships have until Friday, Feb. 15.
