FRONTIER FIESTA PARKING PLAN


In order to accommodate planned events for Frontier Fiesta, Parking and Transportation Services has developed the following parking plan:

Beginning Friday, March 11, Economy lot 12B will be fenced off and unavailable for
parking. According to Frontier Fiesta plans, this lot will remain closed until no later
than Monday, April 4, 2011.

Beginning Tuesday, March 22, Economy lot 12A will be unavailable for parking, and
remain closed through Sunday, March 27. Parkers may return to this lot beginning
Monday, March 28, 2011. Drivers are cautioned that fencing will be placed around this lot on Sunday, March 19, and are encouraged to take extra caution around fencing and construction personnel.

A temporary parking lot will be available at the Intramural Fields, north of lot 16D near Cullen and Elgin. This temporary grass lot is intended to help offset spaces lost in lot 12 due to Frontier Fiesta.

Parking will also be available at the Energy Research Park. ERP, located at 5000 Gulf Freeway, is approximately 1 mile from the main campus, and the Cougar Line Shuttleoperates continuously between ERP and the UC on a 15-minute frequency.

Students with Economy permits may park in any student lot between March 22 and
March 27.

Students with a METRO Q-Card receive a 50% discount on METRO fares, and can
access the UH campus along Scott or Cullen on local routes 29, 30, 42, 52, 68 and 80.
