UH Clearlake, UH Downtown, and UH
Victoria plan to implement Time and
Labor for monthly employees in
August. Campus trainers recently
completed training provided by HRMS.
They return to begin the process of
training their employees and
assisting them with the Payroll
Approver and Time Approver setup.
Payroll Approvers & Time Approvers –
PAs and TAs need to remember to add
new employees to the Time Approver.
If an employee transfers to another
department or campus, the Time
Approver needs to reassign their
time reporters to the new Time
Approver. These are on-going
business processes for future new
hires and transfers.
Leave time in Time and Labor can be
approved for the prior 60 days from
the current date. If the leave is
older than 60 days, send the leave
request to payroll who will make a
Alternate Time Approvers
Payroll Approvers and Time Approvers
can assign an alternate to approve
time in their absence.
This is done on the Maintain Payroll
Approvers page and the Maintain Time
If the alternate is approving time,
they must use the group id that
belongs to the
TA or the PA.
Deadlines for time entry and
Time reporters should have their
time entered by the last day of the
month for that month.
Time approvers should approve time
by the 5th business day of the
Payroll approvers should approve
time by the 10th business day of the

UPAY_TL_REPORTED_TIME – returns
reported time, approval status, and
approver for a selected emplid.
UPAY_TL_PAYABLE_TIME – returns
payable time, payable status, and
approver for a selected employee.
