PLANT OPERATIONS UNVEILS
FACTS-AT-A-GLANCE BOOKLET
 Plant Operations recently unveiled
its first ever Facts-At-A-Glance
publication, a 12-page full color
booklet that’s packed with
information about the services
offered by all of the departments
within Plant Ops. A first print run
of one thousand copies will be used
as a marketing tool for our clients,
including UH staff and students.
Frank Sanchez, financial assistant 2
in Finance & Operations, chaired the
Facts-At-A-Glance Committee which
consisted of staff members that
represented each department. The
emphasis of the publication is
customer service. “It’s a way to get
our voice out there,” Sanchez
explained. “We are informing the
campus about our services and why
we’re here.”
Features include departmental
directories on Environmental Health
& Risk Management, Facilities
Maintenance, Facilities Planning &
Construction, and Finance &
Operations, a Points of Pride
section, bullet points of the main
services offered by each department,
and loads of stand-out photographs
that show employees at work, plus
some of UH’s award winning
buildings. Originally, the committee
was charged with creating a small
brochure, but when the members
realized that Plant Ops provides
more services than what a brochure
could explain, the booklet was
birthed. The concept sprang from an
initiative originally developed
through F&O which created a brochure
to showcase its services. In
addition, Human Resources will
include the booklet in all new hire
