Public forums, multimedia channels and a university committee orientation are some of the new developments towards increasing involvement in shared governance and transparency on campus.

University Administration and Finance committees play an advisory role to various areas of campus and are charged with communicating to the university community on happenings in university planning. The representatives are appointed by Staff Council, Faculty Senate and the Student Government Association. The committees under Administration and Finance include: Food Services Advisory, Parking and Transportation Advisory, Sustainability Task Force, Safety and Security Committee, Bookstore Advisory, and Facilities Planning Committee. New and returning committee representatives will be meeting on August 21st for the first university committee orientation to learn about the charges of their committees and to start discussion of goals for the upcoming year.

Meetings during the year will be recorded and posted on the university website, blogs will available for people to comment and there will be public forum meetings. Green initiatives, parking ideas and new plans for dining concepts are already on the agendas of some of the committees. For more information about the committees and to get updates, visit:
