HealthSelect FAQs and Search Tool Updated
ERS has recently updated the HealthSelectSM of Texas third party
administrator (TPA)
frequently asked questions
online. They will continue to expand this document throughout
the transition to the new TPA, United HealthCare.
ERS and United HealthCare have worked together to enhance the
provider search tool to confirm
if your doctor is in the network. You no longer have to choose
the United HealthCare Choice Plus plan; simply click on the type
of search and enter a provider or facility name. ERS has also
added “Provider Search Tips” to make searching for a provider
even easier. You can use this tool to search for primary care
physicians (PCP), specialists, behavioral health providers, and
health care facilities. Remember, United HealthCare is
contacting providers that are not in the network and asking them
to join. This means that if you don’t find your doctor listed
today, you should check back before September 1 to see if he or
she agreed to join the network. You can also request that your
doctor join the network.
