Shots Fired and Flashpoint Instructional Videos
Bring Awareness to the Campus Community
The University of Houston Department
of Public Safety’s Crime Prevention
office has important information
that needs to be shared with the
campus community. The UHDPS Crime
Prevention Unit is available for
presentations on Active Shooter
situations and other topics.
While we don’t anticipate an event
such as this to occur on our campus,
it is always important to be
prepared. The University of Houston
Department of Public Safety offers
this training program designed to
empower our community with knowledge
and strategies for preventing and
surviving an active shooter
situation. “Shots Fired – When
Lightning Strikes” provides the
individual student, staff member
and/or associate with critical
guidance on how to recognize and
survive an active shooter situation.
The videos help individuals identify
the signs and then act.
