ALTERNETRIDES: THE GREAT ALTERNATIVE WAY TO GET WHERE YOU’RE GOING

The University of Houston community can now enjoy the services of AlterNetRides, "the best carpooling/ridesharing website on the planet". Parking and Transportation Services has introduced the service to allow all members of the University community to register in one place and find an ideal carpooling companion.

AlterNetRides makes it fast, simple and fun to post a ride to campus. We want to encourage everyone to sign up, make new friends, save $$$ and do something good for the environment!

In addition to being a great way to carpool to campus, AlterNetRides also allows members to post rides to other destinations across the US. This makes it a great tool to share a ride home when home is outside the Houston area. Click on the List Public Rides button to view the rides broken out by state and city of destination. AlterNetRides is always FREE for individuals wanting to make a difference.

AlterNetRides is a product of The AlterNetWays Company and uses the Yahoo! mapping technology to make it easy to find someone to carpool with.

To access the system simply visit www.uh.edu/parking and click on the "UH AlterNetRides Carpooling" link.

Sign up today and see how you can find someone to carpool or rideshare for lots of trips. You can make a difference!
