Ride Out
This year, Ride Out Credentials
will be submitted electronically.
The Department of Public Safety has
created a website which allows you
to apply for your credentials.
Within the site you can apply for a
Ride-Out Credential for on-campus
emergency management functions
during the 2009 calendar year.
Credentials will be restricted to
those persons who have a vital
function to perform during an
emergency in which the campus or a
portion of the campus is closed to
other parties. The propriety of an
application may be verified prior to
credential issuance.
Please note that in order to
maintain compliance with the
requirements or the National
Incident Management System (NIMS),
individuals who perform an emergency
management operations function will
be required to complete appropriate
training prior to performing that
function. Please review the training
requirements for your function prior
to applying for ride out
credentials. UHDPS maintains a list
of personnel who have completed
required emergency management
training. Please submit copies of
training certificates to Lt. Bret
Collier upon receipt.
