RECYCLEMANIA RESULTS - WEEK 1

The RecycleMania website revealed Friday, the rankings of 157 college and universities taking part in the Competition Division.
UH HOLDS COMMUTER FAIR

"Nine hundred students signed the UH Green Commuter pledge for a cleaner environment,
simpler parking and a little less money spent on gas when Metropolitan Transit Authority
and UH teamed up Tuesday and Wednesday to teach about the public transportation Houston

STUDENTS GO GREEN WITH METRO

University of Houston students are going green with METRO, as hundreds signed up for student Q Cards.
METRO DISTRIBUTED Q® FARE CARDS ON CAMPUS AT THE UH GREEN COMMUTER FAIR

METRO will be on University of Houston main campus during its UH Green Commuter Fairs January 27 – 28, 2009.
Students will have the opportunity to get their Q Fare Card saving them 50 percent on all buses and METRORail fare.

UH Green Commuter Program.

UH COMPETES IN RECYCLEMANIA

RecycleMania pits colleges and universities in a nationwide contest to see who can reduce, reuse,
and recycle the most campus waste. Over a 10-week period from January
18 to March 28, participating schools will compete in various categories
measuring the success of their recycling and waste prevention efforts.
