Helpful Mailing Hints for Residents

UH Delivery Services receives and delivers all of your incoming mail. We strive to provide the most efficient and effective mail service to residential students.

A designated Package Locker Bank for package distribution is located in each residence hall. All incoming packages that have tracking numbers will be delivered to the lockers and kept safe / secure until pickup. Packages in lockers are available for pickup at your convenience, 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Please use your full name (no nickname), residence hall address and mail box number to ensure the distribution of mail and packages to the packge lockers.

To assist with increase package volumes at the beginning of the semester, please ship packages to campus a week before the start of the semester.

Do not request CASH to be sent to you by mail. Delivery Services is not responsible for cash sent through USPS mail or any overnight service. 

Mail

  • Drop any mail not addressed to you into outgoing mail for delivery. Please do not open any mail that might be delivered to you by mistake.

Packages

  • If you are searching for a package, please email us and provide the tracking number.
  • Have your Cougar Card ID ready when picking up a package at the main sorting facility.
  • Look for an email notification from Delivery Services for packages delivered to your residence hall package locker bank.
  • Packages delivered to the package locker bank are available for pick-up 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
  • All large packages that do not fit in the package lockers or exceed the weight limit of 50 pounds will be held at the UH Delivery Services office. You will receive an email notification with further instructions if we receive a package that is too large or heavy.
