Six Top-Level Sustainability Fest Sponsors Recognized


The Office of Sustainability would like to recognize the top-level sponsors for Sustainability Fest, which will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7, at Butler Plaza.

UH Administration and Finance Marketing, Catering on Cullen at the University of Houston, the City of Houston Mayor’s Office of Special Events, Whole Earth Provision Co., Houston B-cycle and Budget Dumpster are all Cougar Red sponsors, the highest sponsorship status, for their generous donations.

Whole Earth Provision Co. has donated 500 $10 gift certificates that will be distributed to the first 500 attendees at Sustainability Fest.

UH Administration and Finance Marketing has donated equipment and materials for the festival, and Catering on Cullen will be donating lunches for all the Sustainability Fest volunteers and exhibitors. Budget Dumpster made an in-kind monetary donation toward purchasing additional supplies for the event.

The City of Houston Mayor’s Office and Special Events donated VIP family four packs to attend the annual H-E-B Thanksgiving Day Parade on Nov. 26, the Mayor’s Holiday Celebration and Tree Lighting on Dec 2 and the Freedom Over Texas celebration on July 4, 2017. It also donated four rider participant passes to the Annual Urban Bike Ride – Tour de Houston in March 2017.

Houston B-cycle has donated five annual memberships. Whole Earth Provision Co. has also donated a Yeti Rambler 36-oz. water bottle. These items, including the VIP family four packs, will be among the many prizes available for Sustainability Fest attendees to win. The winners will be announced via Facebook Live the day after Sustainability Fest on the Office of Sustainability’s Facebook page.

To reach Cougar Red sponsorship status, an organization must donate monetary or prize items worth more than $301. There are three sponsorship levels for this year’s Sustainability Fest:

  • Bronze level (up to $100)
  • Silver level ($100 to $299)
  • Cougar Red level ($300 and above)
