Sustainability Committee

The Sustainability Task Force serves as the shared governance body charged with advising the university administration on sustainability initiatives. The task force addresses campus sustainability challenges and represents University of Houston faculty, staff and students. The task force is comprised of voting members, who vote on and approve campus sustainability priorities, plans and projects, and ex-officio members, who advise voting members and represent campus departments that incorporate sustainability-related initiatives. Voting members are nominated by Staff Council, Faculty Senate and the Student Government Association or through peer- and self-nominations. Ex-officio members are selected by Office of Sustainability leadership and the Assistant Vice President for University Services. Alumni and community members can also be represented on the task force as voting or ex-officio members.
