University of Houston Auxiliary Services will once again shine the spotlight on its many services and programs for faculty and staff at the second annual Auxiliary Services Fair.
The fair will take place Tuesday, Aug. 4, from 10 a.m. to noon, in the Rockwell Pavilion at M.D. Anderson Library. Representatives from each department will be on hand to answer questions and discuss their programs. Visitors can enjoy light refreshments and will have the chance to win door prizes.
"Because of the great participation and positive feedback last year, it was decided that it would be beneficial to make this an annual event," said Rosie Ashley, manager of Auxiliary Services.
This year's fair will showcase the new campus address system, which goes into effect Saturday, Aug. 1. Under the new system, each building on campus will have its own unique physical address. Representatives from UH Printing and Postal Services will hand out campus guides with the new addresses and information about how UH employees can purchase stationary at discounted prices.
Visitors to the UH Dining Services table can learn more about meal plans for faculty and staff and will have the chance to win vouchers to Chick-fil-A, Freshii and the campus dining halls.
Other participating Auxiliary Services departments include Parking and Transportation Services, Barnes & Noble @ University of Houston and the Office of Sustainability.
Also appearing at the fair will be UHDPS, Facilities Services and FuelMe. Created by UH alumni Wisam Nahhas and Nour Baki, FuelMe allows faculty, staff and students who need to fill up their vehicles have gas delivered to them on campus. FuelMe will give away $15 in free gas to guests who sign up as members through the FuelMe app. Visitors will also have the chance to win an extra $50 in free gas.
