METRO Subsidy through COAST

Individuals who opt to use METRO through COAST will be eligible for a subsidized card.

The specific perks will vary depending on if you are a UH student, faculty or staff member.

$27.50/month loaded onto a subsidized card*


LOCAL RIDERS: A subsidized card* loaded with 50% of their METRO fare

PARK AND RIDERS:
A subsidized card* loaded with 25% of their METRO fare.

*Please note, members will receive their subsidized card at the time of registration; however, a second card should be ordered and registered in the member's name to cover any additional or remaining expenses/fares.

The steps to obtain this additional card will vary depending on your classification. See below for more information.

Students can either order their METRO Q Fare card online through their myParking Account or stop by the Welcome Center Parking Desk. This tutorial illustrates the online process.

Faculty/Staff must order their additional card either in person at the Welcome Center Parking Desk or online at ridemetro.org.

Individuals planning to ride METRO buses, the rail or both, should consider using the trip planner provided online.  This handy tool outlines specific routes, buses and rail lines needed to get commuters from point a to point b.
