Waste Diversion Assistant — Accepting applications

The University of Houston Office of Sustainability is seeking a part-time student worker currently attending UH’s central campus to serve as the waste diversion assistant. The waste diversion assistant works to improve waste diversion on campus, collaborates with UH Solid Waste & Recycling and executes outreach activities and general tasks for the Office of Sustainability. Pay is $10 an hour.

The University of Houston Office of Sustainability is seeking a graduate student who is currently attending UH’s central campus to work part-time in the office. The graduate assistant will collect data and compile reports, assist in managing undergraduate student staff, research funding opportunities, as well as execute outreach activities and general tasks for the Office of Sustainability. Pay is $12 an hour.

Office and Team Lead —  No longer accepting applications

The University of Houston Office of Sustainability is seeking a part-time student worker currently attending UH’s central campus to serve as the office and team lead. The office and team lead will direct the student sustainability team, manage schedules, develop trainings, manage office needs as well as execute outreach activities and general tasks for the Office of Sustainability. This student worker will collaborate and assist all student workers in the Office of Sustainability. Pay is $11 an hour.

Garden Assistant — No longer accepting applications

The University of Houston Office of Sustainability is seeking a part-time student worker currently attending UH’s central campus to serve as the garden assistant. The garden assistant will help the student garden coordinator maintain the UH campus community garden as well as execute outreach activities and general tasks for the Office of Sustainability. The garden assistant will act as an apprentice under the garden coordinator and will take over the coordinator position after the coordinator completes school at UH. Pay is $10 an hour.

Bike Program Assistant — No longer accepting applications

The University of Houston Office of Sustainability is seeking a part-time student worker currently attending UH’s central campus to serve as the bike program coordinator. The bike program coordinator will research bike program options for UH, help implement a program and evaluate student feedback to make improvements as well as execute outreach activities and general tasks for the Office of Sustainability. Pay is $10 an hour.

Communications Assistant — No longer accepting applications

The University of Houston Office of Sustainability is seeking a part-time student worker currently attending UH’s central campus to serve as the communications assistant. The communications assistant will manage the UH Sustainability social media accounts, blog, and monthly newsletter as well as execute outreach activities and general tasks for the Office of Sustainability. Pay is $10 an hour.

Outreach Assistant — No longer accepting applications

The University of Houston Office of Sustainability is seeking a part-time student worker currently attending UH’s central campus to serve as the outreach assistant. The outreach assistant will work on campus engagement programs, execute outreach activities, plan and promote events, bolster relationships on campus and in the community and assist with general tasks for the Office of Sustainability. Pay is $10 an hour.
