The event will take place five Wednesdays in the fall semester, starting Sept. 27, and will allow students, faculty, staff and visitors to shop for locally sourced and produced food without having to leave campus.
The app allows University of Houston students, faculty and staff to order and pay for food in advance at numerous retail dining locations across campus, then pick it up at the designated time without waiting in line.
Students will be able to munch on pretzels and drink root beer when they stop in the department’s office in Suite 103 of University Lofts during the campus-wide open house event, which takes place Tuesday, Aug. 29, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The new relationship will result in a strategic transformation in dining services across the UH System and promises to strongly appeal to current and prospective students, alumni, visitors, faculty and staff.
