New Dispenser Increases Beverage Options at Taco Cabana

Coke Freestyle MachineA new state-of-the-art beverage machine will give customers at the campus Taco Cabana many more drink options this fall.

The restaurant, which is located at Cullen Boulevard and Entrance 14 in the Stadium Parking Garage, received a Coca-Cola Freestyle 7000 over the summer. The new machine offers more than 60 drink options – far more than the six that were available in the traditional dispenser it replaced.

“Students, faculty and staff are absolutely going to love it. There are so many more flavor options available,” said James Drexler, retail location manager with UH Dining Services.

All dining locations on campus are expected to eventually get the new machines.

“It’s an innovative way of advancing the beverage program on the University of Houston campus,” UH Dining Services Director of Operations Torik Banks said. “This is the next step in making everyone’s dining experience better.”

Taco Cabana will open for the fall semester on Monday, Aug. 24. For more information on UH Dining Services, visit www.uh.edu/dining.
