Students who will be staying on campus during the winter break can buy one of two plans that can be used to eat at Moody Towers Dining Commons, which will be open every day, including Christmas and New Year’s Day.
Faculty and staff are needed to sign up for a wide range of duties at the twice-a-year tradition, which will take place Monday, Dec. 4, from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. to provide students a welcome relief from studying for final exams.
‘Chew on This: Conversations with UH Dining’ will take place Tuesday, Oct. 24, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in the Space City Room of the Student Center South, and 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Impact Room of the Student Center North.
The Happy or Not kiosks allow visitors to rate their visit as they leave with a quick push of a button. One machine is installed at the entrance to Moody Towers Dining Commons and the other is at the entrance to Cougar Woods Dining Commons.
The event will take place five Wednesdays in the fall semester, starting Sept. 27, and will allow students, faculty, staff and visitors to shop for locally sourced and produced food without having to leave campus.
The app allows University of Houston students, faculty and staff to order and pay for food in advance at numerous retail dining locations across campus, then pick it up at the designated time without waiting in line.
