Come and see your future at the University of Houston's Cougar Preview... your introduction to academic excellence.
Our Open House will assist you in your college choice. Family members and guests are encouraged to attend.
Accommodations are available at the Hilton Americas (Hilton Americas - Houston Hotel Room Reservations). And the Hampton Inn & Suites Houston-Medical Center-Reliant Park.
There are a limited number of rooms available on a first come, first served basis.
At Cougar Preview, you will experience:
- A day filled with answers for prospective freshmen and transfer students about admission requirements, degree plans, scholarships and financial aid opportunities, and campus housing.
- A chance to see for yourself the excellent academic and recreational facilities, as well as meet with UH faculty, staff, and student leaders.
- An opportunity to cool off under the many trees, visit friends around the reflecting pool, and enjoy the campus gardens.

On The Spot Admissions ( Fall Only)
To participate in On the Spot Admissions -
(On the Spot Admissions will not apply to International Students)
Incoming Freshman Students need:
- To have submitted the freshman on line application by Midnight November 10, 2009.
- Official High School Transcript (either must have been sent officially to UH by October 30, 2009 or must be with applicant in an official sealed envelope)
- Official SAT or ACT scores posted on your high school transcript or sent directly to UH before October 30, 2009.
- $50.00 application fee paid online, by check, or by money order
***Architecture, Music, Theater and Dance Applicants will not be able to receive an On the Spot Admissions decision***
Transfer Students need:
- To have submitted the freshman transfer on line application by Midnight November 10, 2009.
- Official Transcripts from EACH college/university attended (either must have been sent officially to UH by October 30th or must be with applicant in an official sealed envelope)
- $50.00 application fee paid online, by check, or by money order
***Music, Architecture, Theater and Dance, Pre-Pharmacy, and Engineering Applicants will not be able to receive an On the Spot Admissions decision***
Location:
- University Center, University of Houston
- Traveling south bound on I-45: Exit Spur 5 South and turn right on University Drive. This will lead you directly to UH Entrance # 1.
- Traveling northbound on I-45: Exit Elgin/Lockwood/Cullen and turn left on Elgin. Then, turn left at Spur 5 Feeder (at the second light). Take a right on University Drive to UH Entrance #1.
