University of Houston Ambassadors are premier student leaders that work within the Office of Admissions. Ambassadors are responsible for welcoming prospective students and guests to the University of Houston, as well as providing quality customer service to current students seeking assistance in the Welcome Center. The Ambassador program is a unique opportunity for student leaders to engage in on-campus employment while gaining transferable skills which enhance individual personal and professional goals. 2015 UH Ambassadors
Arlette is a senior double majoring in Liberal Arts and Political Science and is pursuing minors in English and Global and International Studies. Her hometown is Houston, Texas. She plans to attend law school after graduation to study International Law. Arlette enjoys working with prospective students to help them discover and learn more about the University. She chose the University of Houston for its diversity and different opportunities to get involved on campus.
Elliott is a junior pursuing a double degree in Supply Chain Management and Finance-Global Energy Management. His hometown is Antwerp, Belgium. He plans to attend graduate school to study International Business Law following graduation. Elliott enjoys representing the University and being a positive role model to prospective students. He chose the University of Houston for the quality education offered at the Bauer College of Business and its affordability.
Jake is a sophomore pursuing a double major in Entrepreneurship and Finance. His hometown is Long Island, New York. He plans on starting a career in real estate or investment banking before opening his own business. Jake enjoys having the privilege to represent and promote the University of Houston. He chose the UH because after moving from New York, he found friendly people, great academic programs and a close knit community, which makes him proud to call UH home!
Jessica is a sophomore obtaining a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. Her hometown is Kilgore, Texas. After graduation, she plans to work for a cruise line. Jessica enjoys working with prospective students and helping them learn more about the University. She chose the University of Houston because the Conrad N. Hilton College is one of the best in the nation. Because she is from a small town, she is excited to be at a diverse university.
Kim is a sophomore majoring in Biology and pursuing a minor in Medicine and Society. Her hometown is Houston, Texas. After graduation, she plans to attend medical school to become a neurosurgeon. She eventually wants to open up her own hospital and free clinic. Kim enjoys interacting with prospective students and teaching them about the transition into college. She chose the University of Houston because of all the opportunities offered by the medical sector as well as the campus diversity.
Lawren is a junior majoring in American Sign Language and Interpretation. Her hometown is Houston, Texas. She plans to work as an interpreter following graduation and eventually will attend graduate school to obtain her master’s degree. Lawren enjoys aiding students while they make the important decision of choosing the right university. She chose the University of Houston because it was close to home, and she knew she could excel in the American Sign Language Program.
Lincoln is a senior obtaining a major in Marketing with a minor in Finance. His hometown is Falls Church, Virginia. After graduation, he plans to work for a marketing company in Houston. He also wants to attend Bible School in California. Lincoln enjoys meeting new people while providing tours for prospective students. He chose the University of Houston because of its business programs, rapid growth of the campus as well as its affordability for out-of-state students.
Lorenzo is a senior pursuing a major in Communication Disorders with a minor in Psychology. His hometown is Pearland, Texas. He plans to attend graduate school to obtain his Ph.D. in Communication Disorders after graduation. Lorenzo enjoys being able to share his passion for the University of Houston with prospective students. He chose the University of Houston because of the diversity and opportunities to learn about different cultures.
Nkechi is a junior majoring in Allied Health Professions with a minor in Biology. Her hometown is Frisco, Texas. She plans to attend school to become a physician’s assistant. Nkechi enjoys having the opportunity to share with others why she likes the University. She also enjoys assisting prospective students and teaching them more about what the University has to offer. Nkechi chose the University of Houston because the largest Medical Center in the world is nearby, which provides her with numerous career opportunities.
Wesley is a sophomore majoring in Psychology. His hometown is Mansfield, Texas. After graduation, he plans to attend school to become a physical therapist. Wesley enjoys being a leader on campus while working with prospective students and impacting their lives. He chose the University of Houston because he felt right at home and loves the color red, one of the official colors of UH.
