You can get a preview of the UH campus right now by watching the YOUniversityTV Video Tour or the Virtual Tour There are several ways to organize your visit to the University of Houston. Pick the one that fits your schedule and interest.
We invite prospective students and their families to visit our campus daily. Campus tours are given Monday through Friday at 10:00 a.m. or 3:00 p.m., and Saturday at 11 a.m. There is a presentation given by one of our admissions counselors followed by a 45-minute walking tour (or a presentation following the tour). Check out our Virtual Tour and the YOUniversityTV Video Tour to get an idea of what you will see. Reservations aren't necessary for tours, but we’ll be better prepared to serve you if we know you’re coming to visit. Please register online for a tour. We are located in the Welcome Center at the corner of Calhoun and University in the parking garage. Parking charges will apply if you park in the garage. See directions to campus.
If you are visiting the UH campus during a high school approved "College Visit Day", you will automatically participate in a campus tour. Tours are Monday-Friday 10 a.m. or 3 p.m. After the tour has been completed the Office of Admissions will sign your Campus Visit form. See directions to campus.
The University of Houston would love to host your group for a campus tour Monday-Friday at either 9 a.m. or 1 p.m. Please contact the Visit Coordinators (information provided below) if you have any questions. If your group consists of 15 or more students, we ask that you register online at least 3 weeks in advance to set up your tour date. See directions to campus.

The first Friday of July, September, December, February, and April, you and your family are invited to submerge yourselves in the UH experience. Cougar Fridays are much more than a campus tour, they’re smaller, more intimate events limited to 100 high school juniors and seniors. You will cover information on admission requirements, scholarships and financial aid, The Honors College, the Study Abroad program, Greek life, campus organizations, dorms, student life, Majors and other interest areas. There will also be academic sessions for individual degree plans, and tours of campus, housing, and recreational facilities. Register online at least one week prior to the date of the event. Registration is limited.
Usually held in the spring and fall, Cougar Preview is a day filled with answers for your questions about admission requirements, degree plans, scholarships and financial aid opportunities, and campus housing. This organized campus visit is unique because it offers On-the-spot-admissions processing. You have a special opportunity to apply first thing in the morning and may know you're a cougar by the end of the visit. See information about the Cougar Preview (Open House) dates and schedule.
Residence Hall Tours are available to those wishing to see what the dorms look like. Please contact our Tour Visit Coordinators to tour the Residence Halls.
