Advising and Registration for Transfers
Advising and Registration for Transfers (ART) is a required, one-day program for all new transfers.
Any student seeking to change their major must do so at least 10 business days prior to their ART Conference. In order to successfully change into a new major, students must meet admissions requirements for specific majors. If a student originally applied to a major but did not meet admission criteria and so were placed in their second choice major, the student will NOT be reconsidered for the first major because the student does not meet admissions criteria for that major.
Total participation at ART is required for all new degree-seeking undergraduate students and Post-Baccalaureate students prior to academic advising and course registration. ART sessions always occur on weekdays because the offices, faculty/staff members, academic advisors and other programs, resources and services required to assist students and family members with their college transition are not available on the weekends.
Once a student has been admitted and has decided that UH is the institution they plan to attend, they should register/pay for their orientation session via the myUHportal. Visit the ART Dates page for information on how to register for a NSO.
At ART, you will see, learn, and do everything you will need before the first day of classes! Browse through this website and see what ART is all about.
Spring 2014 registration will be available October 1, 2013.
