Family members and guests are welcome to attend Advising and Registration for Transfers (ART). You should register expected guests at the time of the conference registration. This helps us plan for the event, but it is not a formal commitment. On the first day of conference Check-In, all guests' attendance will be confirmed and the guest fee will be placed on your student account accordingly. Family members and guests are welcome at all conferences, and, if attending, will follow a separate schedule of events.
Because of the nature of the program, it is not appropriate for anyone except parents/guardians or spouses to attend as a guest. Friends or siblings are not allowed to accompany you. The exception would be an older sibling who is acting in a guardian capacity; however, in this case, the sibling would attend Family Member Orientation and would not be with you during any time parents and students are not ordinarily together.
Family and Guest Schedule
Family members and guests will attend specific programs designated for them. You will not be available to family members and guests until you have completed your advisement and registration process. Family members and guests will receive an official schedule of events on the day of their conference.
All components are Family Member and Guest only unless otherwise designated. An example schedule will be posted to this page in February 2015.
The Guest Fee is $30 per adult guest (18+) and will be added to your student fee bill after the guest's attendance has been confirmed. This fee does not include housing, as no housing is provided for family members or guests during your ART. There is no fee for children under 18.
We are not able to offer housing to our family members and guests. Guests accompanying you can take advantage of the Hilton Hotel on campus for overnight accommodations or make reservations at any of the surrounding hotels in the area. For more information about the Hilton Hotel on campus, please visit the Hilton Reservation Page and look for the Group Name: New Student and Transfer Student Orientation and Group Code: NSO.
