Now that you've enrolled in fall courses, you are ready to take the next steps in preparation of your first day of classes.
- Review and accept Financial Aid
In your myUH account, you can review and accept any Financial Aid offers and/or Scholarship Awards.
- Make payment or sign up for a Payment Plan
Fall tuition and fee bills will be calculated soon after you enroll in your Fall semester courses. The University’s general payment deadline for the Fall semester (August 16) has already passed, so your payment is due immediately. The payment feature is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week in your myUH account (“account summary” page). Failure to make immediate payment may result in your enrollment being canceled. Remember, if you have pending financial aid, you must deduct the semester amount from your overall term balance to see how much you owe. Paying online in your myUH account by credit card or e-check is the fastest and easiest way to make payments to the university.
- Pick up your Cougar Card
If you didn’t have the opportunity to have your Cougar Card ID made while you were on campus for your New Student Conference, please do so as soon as possible.
- Visit us at the Welcome Center or submit your photo online.
- Hours of Operation: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday - Friday
- Select your meal plan
With several meal plan options, you can find the one that's right for you. Log on to myUH and make your selection today. The deadline to sign up is September 7.
- Decide on a transportation plan
Explore your options. METRO has eight local routes that serve our campus, and bike racks are available outside of most buildings. You can also rent a car sharing vehicle as an alternative to bringing your car to campus. And if you plan to drive a personal vehicle, be sure to buy your parking permit now so you have it in time for the first day of class.
- Purchase your textbooks
We pride ourselves in providing you affordable options, whether you prefer new, used, rental or digital textbooks. Purchase your books now through your myUH account and you'll be all set by the time you arrive on campus!
- Update your “destination” email address
Every student has an @uh.edu email alias address that is provided to them upon admission. This @uh.edu address forwards all messages to the "destination" email you provide upon enrollment in your myUH account. We use this address for official communications, so check and update your "destination" email address in your myUH account today.
