Welcome to the University of Houston!

As family members of new Cougar students, you play an integral role in their future success and the Office of Admissions and Recruitments wants to make sure that you are informed about the resources, services, and programs that will assist your student as he/she progresses through his/her academic career. The college experience is a collaborative one and we are excited to welcome you at your student’s New Student Conference!

Although the conference is only required for new students, we offer programs and experiences just for YOU! At the conference, you will have the opportunity to meet faculty, staff and other family members – and our Orientation Team Leaders! By participating in the New Student Conference, you will become informed about the University’s academic programs, policies, facilities and services. You will also learn how you can Share the Pride – and get involved as a family member on our campus! At the conference you be informed on how to get connected with opportunities such as the Family Member listserv, the Parent Cougar Connection and learn about Family & Parent Day hosted by the Dean of Students Office.
