Fazle
Hussain, a mechanical engineering professor, has
embarked upon ways of reducing airport delays
by speeding the breakdown of vortices to turbulence
in order to save time between aircrafts during
takeoffs and during landings. His research is
funded by a $300,000 grant from the National Science
Foundation.
