UH biomedical engineering student Hassan Khalil was awarded a fellowship by the American Society of Artificial Internal Organs for an abstract that details research with a model of the human vascular system. His model will allow for new experimentation in artificial organ control, making experiments more flexible, as well as easier, more predictable and less expensive.
