Blaffer Gallery: 2004 Houston Area Exhibition
Fourteen Houston area artists were selected to display their works in various media including sculpture, video, photography, performance art and drawings on display through Aug. 29. 2004 Houston Area Exhibition. Theater: Houston Shakespeare Festival – “The Taming of the Shrew”
Director Sidney Berger brings Shakespeare’s bawdy comedy to Houston audiences for five performances. Cosponsored by the University of Houston’s School of Theatre and the City of Houston, The Houston Shakespeare Festival at Miller Outdoor Theatre is in its 30th season. Houston Shakespeare Festival. “The Tamping of the Shrew,” 8:30 p.m., Aug. 4, 6, 12, 14. Miller Outdoor Theatre, Hermann Park. Free, but tickets are required.
