GAY RITES: UH EXPERTS AVAILABLE
TO DISCUSS SAME SEX MARRIAGE ISSUES

With President Bush recently announcing his support of a constitutional amendment prohibiting same sex marriages, an already hot topic has heated up even more. The following University of Houston faculty resources are available to the media to comment directly on various aspects of this complex subject or to provide background information.   • Victor B. Flatt, who holds the A.L. Quinn Chair in Environmental Law at the UH Law Center, is also an authority in gay, lesbian, bisexual and trans-gendered issues. He was one of the authors of the groundbreaking Atlanta Human Rights Ordinance of 2001, which provided for strong protections and remedies for sexual orientation discrimination.
