Blaffer Gallery: “Trespassing: Houses x Artists”
“Trespassing: Houses x Artists” features designs of houses imagined by nine contemporary artists in collaboration with New York-based architecture firm, OpenOffice. The artists were free to rethink the house as a spatial and social entity and the projects are presented through a variety of strategies including models, sketches, digital media and/or full-scale realization. “Trespassing: Houses x Artists.” Exhibit runs through Mar. 14. Farfel Distinguished Lecture: “The Creative Spirit as a Force for Humanism.”
Carlos Fuentes, Mexico’s most celebrated novelist and essayist, is considered one of the greatest literary figures in the Spanish-speaking world and will deliver the University of Houston annual Farfel Distinguished Lecture this month.
