Blaffer Gallery: “Trespassing:
Houses x Artists”
“Trespassing: Houses x Artists” features designs of
houses imagined by nine contemporary artists in collaboration
with New York-based architecture firm, OpenOffice. The artists
were free to rethink the house as a spatial and social entity
and the projects are presented through a variety of strategies
including models, sketches, digital media and/or full-scale realization.
“Trespassing: Houses x Artists.” Exhibit runs through

Stables: Solo Shoot”
“Fraser Stables: Solo Shoot” features single audio
dialogue synchronized with two different video projections reciting
the same story but at different moments in the narrative forcing
the viewer to piece together the narrative on his/her own. “Fraser
Stables: Solo Shoot.” Exhibit runs through Mar. 14. Blaffer

The Margarett Root Brown Houston Reading Series, co-sponsored

exceptional authors, Yusef Komunyakaa and Kevin Young. Komunyakaa
is a Pulitzer Prize winning author of poetry and Young is currently
the Ruth Lilly Professor of Poetry at Indiana University. Yusef

Looking at issue of separation of church and state, the UH Law
Center will host “Considering God in Government.”
The debate will pit Kevin J. Hasson, president of the Becket Fund
for Religious Liberty, against the Rev. Barry W. Lynn, executive
director of Americans United for Separation of Church and State.
