MAY 2007 - BUSINESS
NOTES AND NEWS

Review Finance Transactions in Process
Departments should review Finance
transactions in process at least once a week
to determine if any are stuck in someones
worklist waiting for approval. The best way
to do this is by running the following
queries for your department:
UHS_WF_AP_NOT_POSTED Vouchers not posted
UHS_WF_BUD_NOT_POST Budget Journals not
posted
UHS_WF_SC_NOT_POSTED SC Vouchers not
posted
UHS_WF_GL_NOT_POSTED GL Journals not
posted
UHS_WF_REQ_NOT_APPROVED Requisitions not
approved
Reviewing the transactions in process has
the following benefits:
Reduces late interest payments to vendors.
Improves the timeliness of employee
reimbursements and payments to service
centers and auxiliaries.
Reduces denied journals and budget
journals that are not processed before the
month-end deadline.
Ensures contracts are encumbered before
its time to make a payment.
Helps departments receive items faster
when using a requisition/PO.
