Jean Flenoury - Cook

Hello, I am Jean Flenoury, UHCCC cook. I have worked 36 years as a cook and 15 of those years have been spent preparing meals for young children. I maintain a Food Service Manager's Certification from the Houston Department of Health and Human Services.

I really love children and it is so much fun to see their smiling faces and to hear their sweet hellos everyday. UHCCC is a fun place to work. In my time away from the Center I like to play volleyball, ride bicycles, read and work crossword puzzles.

 
   

Brian Miller – Office Coordinator
Hello; my name is Brian Miller. I am the Office Coordinator at the UH Child Care Center. I started at the Child Care Center in December of 2007 and have enjoyed every minute of it. My main function here is to handle the day to day UH Business practices (which consists of HR and finance) and also accounting. I have a thorough background in music which I am currently studying in college. I have been involved in music for the past 17 years.

I started on the UH campus working in the Enrollment Services Department. After being in that department for nearly 2 years I decided I wanted a change. After accepting the newly formed position at the Child Care Center I didn’t know what to expect, but in the end coming here was the best decision I could have ever made. Being around the children and such a family-oriented staff makes coming to work everyday such a delight While working here I have attended extensive training in UH Business practices as well as the do’s and don’ts of the child care industry.

In my time away from the center I am heavily involved with my church where I am the minister of music. I oversee all musical aspects of worship at my church. I am also involved in several music ensembles that perform on special occasions. The instruments that I play are the piano, cello, percussion, and I also love to sing. ;
