Freshman applicants are required to meet general university freshman admission requirements .
First, applicants are required to meet general university transfer admissions requirements . In addition, applicants who completed less than 15 semester hours of college credit need to meet the requirements for freshman admission. Applicants who completed between 15 and 59 semester hours of college credit need a 2.75 or higher cumulative GPA. Applicants who have completed more than 60 semester hours of college credit need a 2.75 or higher cumulative GPA on the last 60 semester hours.
Change of Major
University of Houston students who have completed at least 15 hours of college level work must have a minimum of 2.75 cumulative grade point average in order to change their major to Hotel and Restaurant Management. Students must submit a General Petition Form to the Conrad N. Hilton College Office of Academic Services. Students are also required to declare their intent to change majors and explain why they are selecting Hotel and Restaurant Management.
With a Hotel and Restaurant Management degree, your internship experiences and the UH Hilton connections will open the doors to country clubs, casinos, consulting firms, distributors, hotels and restaurants all over the world.
