Academic Advisors assist students in developing their degree plans. Where students go for advising depends on their major and how far they are in their college careers.
The Academic Advising Center (formerly known as the University Studies Division) is designed to assist undergraduate students with core curriculum and Texas Success Initiative information, especially during their first year of enrollment. Students who have declared their major are served by the department of their major or college advisors. Pre-Professional and Post-Baccalaureate Students are also advised in the Academic Advising Center.
Although some advisors accept walk-ins, it is best to call ahead to schedule time with your advisor or to make sure walk-ins are welcome.
