Student Travel Insurance
There are two kinds of Travel Insurances a student should be aware of
- Make sure that your travel insurance is valid for the entire duration of your trip.
- Bear in mind that if you need to make a claim, most travel insurance companies require you to have purchased the insurance policy before you leave on your trip.
- Most travel insurances include basic medical and accident cover, baggage loss or delay, and trip cancellation, interruption or delay, but be aware that specialised insurance policies can vary from country to country.
- If you need insurance to cover you for extreme sports, winter sports, scuba-diving or other water sports, please ensure that you mention this at the time of purchase and take out extra insurance cover if necessary.
- Most consortiums cover health insurance
in their program costs. Please check when signing up for Study Abroad
Programs.
