Terry Foundation Scholarship

The Terry Foundation is a private Houston-based scholarship program founded to provide full scholarships to outstanding Texas high school graduates for attendance at Texas public colleges and universities, including the University of Houston.  Established in 1986 by Houston philanthropists Nancy & Howard Terry, the Foundation has assisted hundreds of Terry Scholars in meeting the founders' goal of helping young people to help themselves. 

To be considered for the Terry Foundation Scholarship, students should be able to show financial need, have a record of leadership in school and community and possess strong academic abilities, as evidenced by grades and SAT scores.  Applicants must also be graduates from a Texas high school or homeschool and be admitted to the University of Houston as a full-time entering freshman. 

The deadline for applications for the '08-'09 academic year has now passed. Information regarding application for the '09-'10 academic year will be made available in October of 2008. For additional information about the Terry Foundation Scholarship, please visit www.terryfoundation.org.
