Contribute to the Honors Endowment

Over the years, contributions made by individuals, corporations, and foundations have enabled The Honors College to create and build an endowment — a stable philanthropic investment that yields secure, significant annual returns. The Honors Endowment has a current market value of more than $6 million.

Guaranteeing support into the future, endowments can fund an array of activities and programs, including distinguished chairs and professorships, student scholarships, or programs. Earnings from the endowment are directed to the donor's area of interest or can be unrestricted.

Major gifts to The Honors College include support from Carolyn Grant Fay to promote the study of subjects in relation to the work of Carl Jung, Robert and Jane Morin Cizik to establish the Jane Morin Cizik Chair, the Temple Foundation to establish a major scholarship endowment, and the Houston Endowment to fund Post-Doctoral Teaching Fellowships, undergraduate research, and study abroad programs.

Endow a Professorship or a Chair

Endowed professorships and chairs provide The Honors College with the ability to attract and recognize distinguished members of the faculty.

Establish a Named Scholarship

Endowments also enable donors to make a meaningful difference for students by providing a continuing source of scholarship funds. To remain competitive for the highest quality students, and to ensure that the opportunity for a quality education exists regardless of economic background, The Honors College must be able to offer financial support to students.

You can endow a named scholarship by making a contribution of $10,000 or more to The Honors College. The following donors have established such scholarships:
