Cr. 3. (3-0). Prerequisite: ENGL 1304. An interdisciplinary introduction to the history, cultures, and languages of Latin America. Topics include the region's indigenous past, religious traditions, linguistic realities, economic development, gender relations, political dynamics, popular culture, and social forces.
