Admission	Application deadlines can be found on line at Admissions under the application process for your specific admission status: freshman, transfer, international, or graduate.

November 2008
Registration	To be announced. For specific registration times, go to the Enrollment Schedule on line.
Payment and Refund Deadlines	Timing is critical to University payment and refund processes. Please review the information on line at: Student Financial Services.
NOTE: Dates for the events listed to the right vary by College. Please check with your College as early as possible.	Master's / Doctoral Deadlines submitting final draft of master's thesis or dissertation to the committee submitting signed original and two copies of approved master’s thesis or dissertation for binding ordering caps and gowns Commencement / Convocation Information for some Colleges may also be found by searching the UH Events Calendar using "commencement".

January 2009	19	Monday Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday.
	20	Tuesday First day of classes.

February 2009	2	Monday ORD - Official Reporting Day (12th class day). Last day to drop a course or withdraw without receiving a grade (must be by 5 pm). Last day to drop a course without hours counting towards the Enrollment Cap for Texas Residents. NOTE: Tuition is higher for hours in excess of the cap.
	13	Friday Last day to file university application for graduation.

March 2009	16-21	Monday - Saturday Spring holiday.

April 2009	7	Tuesday Last day to drop a course or withdraw with a 'W' (must be by 5 pm).

May 2009	4	Monday Last day of classes
	5	Tuesday Make up day for class days officially cancelled by the university (if necessary) or Reading Period.
	6-14	Wednesday - Thursday Final examination period. See: Current Final Exam Schedule
	15	Friday Official closing of the spring semester. Commencement. also see: Note, above
