CUIN 3315: Introduction to Early Childhood Education

CUIN 3318: Phonics in the Reading Process

CUIN 3333: Differentiating Instruction for Diverse Learners

CUIN 3346: Teaching the Writing Process

CUIN 3347: Reading in the Content Area
Cr. 3. (3-9). Prerequisite: junior standing. Methods and materials for teaching developmental reading in specific content areas. Includes assessment and treatment of reading difficulties, including dyslexia and other literacy disorders, in grades 7-12.

CUIN 3350: Knowing and Learning Science and Math

Cr: 3. (3-0). Prerequisites: credit for or concurrent enrollment in CUIN 1101. Theories and frameworks addressing how people come to know in mathematics and science-related domains, including types of thinking and possible roles of the teacher and learner.

CUIN 3351: Classroom Interactions in Science and Mathematics

Cr: 3. (3-0). Prerequisites: CUIN 1102 and 3350 (can be taken concurrently). Impact of interactions in the classroom and ways to combine content and pedagogy to address equity and diversity issues.

CUIN 3352: Perspectives Math and Science
