Pertaining to The College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics - Mathematics (MATH) course descriptions:
the erroneous prerequisite of "BIOL 3306" was removed from the course description for MATH 4320: Introduction to Stochastic Processes.
 
June 7, 2010  
Pertaining to the Academic Calendar:
for the future Spring 2011 semester, the Last Day to Add a Class was changed from Monday January 24, 2011 to Tuesday, January 25, 2011.
 
June 8, 2010  
Pertaining to the Academic Calendar:
for the future Fall 2010 Semester, the Last Day to Add a Class was changed from Saturday August 28, 2010 to Monday August 30, 2010.
 
June 10, 2010  
Pertaining to the Academic Calendar:
graduation application fees were noted as non-refundable throughout the future By-Semester 2010 calendars, as had already been published in the By-Events calendar for Academic Year 2009-2010.

Pertaining to the Academic Calendar:
for the future Summer 2011 Semesters, the specific clock-time reference was removed from the deadline for Last Day to Add a Class.
 
July 6 , 2010  
Pertaining to the Academic Calendar:
for the current Summer 2010, 6 Week - 2nd Session (By-Event Calendar), changed the Last day to add a class from July 7, 2010 Tuesday to July 7, 2010 Wednesday. For current Summer 2010 Semesters, the specific clock-time reference was removed from the deadline for Last Day to Add a Class.
 
July 21, 2010  
Pertaining to the Academic Calendar, future Summer Semester 2011:
Summer Semester Session names were changed for future Summer Semester 2011 and forward:
  • 6-Week 1st - became Summer Session 1
  • 9-Week 1st - became Summer Session 2
  • 12-Week Regular - became Summer Session 3
  • 6-Week 2nd - became Summer Session 4


In addition, certain event/deadline dates were changed for each of the four summer sessions. Also, the additional Friday meeting days previously designated as "To Be Announced" for each of the four summer sessions were further specified as detailed below:
  1. 6-Week 1st changed dates:
    last day of class (from "June 30" to "July 5"); final exam period (from "July 1-2" to "July 6-7"); official closing of session (from "July 3" to "July 7"); additional Friday meeting days were specified as "June 10, 17, 24, and July 1".
  2. 9-Week 2nd changed dates:
    last day of class (from "July 7" to "July 21"); final exam period (from "July 8-9"" to "July 26-27"); official closing of session (from "July 10" to "July 27").
  3. 12-Week Regular changed dates:
    last day of class (from "August 8" to "August 9"); final exam period (from "August 9-11" to "August 10-12"); official closing of session (from "August 11" to "August 12"); notation referring to additional Friday meeting days for Tues/Thurs classes was edited to read as "certain Fridays (TBA)" instead of "Friday (TBA)".
  4. 6-Week 2nd changed dates:
    first day of classes (from "July 5" to "July 11"); last day to add a class (from "July 6" to "July 12"); ORD / last day to drop a course or withdraw without receiving a grade / last day to drop a course without hours counting towards the enrollment cap for Texas residents (from "July 8" to "July 14"); additional Friday meeting days were specified as "July 5, 10, 15, 20".

    various broken links under student publications [Houstonian / Daily Cougar / Student Publications Committee] were fixed; broken link to Bayou Oaks information was fixed; extraneous mention of parking and transportation in mid-page subnavigation was removed; various broken same-page table of contents links was fixed.

Pertaining to the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics' Chemistry major:
MATH 3321 was added to both the B.S. and B.A. degree requirements, increasing the required Mathematics hours for each degree from 12 hrs to 15 hrs.

Pertaining to the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences' Communication Sciences and Disorders department:
names of individuals no longer with the department were removed; correction was made to how the name of the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) was represented ("of" was corrected to "on"); the suggested contact for additional graduate program information was changed.

an item numbered six was added under the heading "Grade Explanations" which read, "All NR grades will be automatically converted to F 90 days after the official closing of term."

a typographical error was corrected in the dates presented in the general information section at the top of the calendar - "March 25, 2010" was corrected to "March 25, 2011" to match the correct deadlines which were already stated lower in the dated section of the calendar.

The incorrect History courses (HIST 1376 and 1377) were listed in the course description caveat of HIST 1379.  The error was corrected and now reads as "Credit in both HIST 1378 and 1379 cannot be applied toward a degree."
