Undergraduate Catalog Archives Archive of the 2011-2012 Base Catalog Colleges Liberal Arts & Social Sciences Minors Music MinorA minor in music in one of two areas - music theory or music literature/history - requires 21 semester hours in music, of which at least nine must be advanced. Nine of the total hours must be taken in residence, of which at least six must be advanced. A 2.00 minimum grade point average is required in all minor courses attempted at the University of Houston. All courses to be applied to the minor, including transfer courses, must be approved by the School of Music.
