The University of Houston

The University of Houston is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award baccalaureate, masters, professional, and doctoral degrees. In addition, the university is a member of the Association of Texas Colleges and Universities, the American Council on Education, the Association of American Colleges, and the National Association of State Universities and Land-Grant Colleges.

College of Education

The teacher education program is accredited by the State Board for Educator Certification(SEBC) and by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).

The dietetics internship program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) of the American Dietetic Association.

Cullen College of Engineering

Seven undergraduate degree programs are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). The Biomedical Engineering and Petroleum degree programs have been approved by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board but have not been reviewed for Engineering Accreditation by ABET.
