The University of Houston
The University of Houston is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award baccalaureate, masters, professional, and doctoral degrees. Contact the Commission on Colleges at 1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, Georgia 30033-4097 or call 404-679-4500 for questions about the accreditation of the University of Houston.
In addition, the university is a member of the Association of Texas Colleges and Universities, the American Council on Education, the Association of American Colleges, and the National Association of State Universities and Land-Grant Colleges.

The Biomedical Engineering and Computer Engineering degree programs have been approved by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board but have not been reviewed for Engineering Accreditation by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.
