In addition, the university is a member of the Association of Texas Colleges and Universities, the American Council on Education, the Association of American Colleges, and the National Association of State Universities and Land-Grant Colleges. The Biomedical Engineering and Computer Engineering degree programs have been approved by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board but have not been reviewed for Engineering Accreditation by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.
