
1 There is no equilvalent course number for UH. This course will transfer in as an elective.

3 Check with the English Department for information regarding additional tests and scores.
4 Candidates who pass both CLEP American History tests must take three additional semester hours selected from the following courses: HIST 2341, 2343, or any 3000- or 4000-level course in United States history.
5 Successful candidates may not take POLS 2333 or 2334 but must take three additional semester hours from the subfields of public administration, public law, and American politics, or POLS 3331, 3349, 4361, and 4366.
6 Not applicable to a degree in the social sciences.
7 Candidates who pass the American History AP test may not take HIST 1377 or 1378 but must take three additional semester hours selected from the following courses: HIST 2341, 2343, or any 3000- or 4000-level course in United States history.
