This site lists faculty fellowships, prizes and awards recognized by the Association of American Universities (AAU) and/or Top American Research Universities (TARU) in defining Tier-One universities. Faculty who qualify for these are among the best in their fields. Many of our faculty are already recipients (see link below), and many others can be strong contenders. By applying for and receiving these marquee awards, UH faculty can help the university make significant progress toward recognition as a Tier-One institution.
